"We had read the customer comments on the internet prior to making our reservations at the Marriott. We found the rooms small and lacking extra space to set our things out on. We were assigned to an ajoining hospitality suite (we weren't advised this was the case) and the noise from it's occupants was unacceptable. Had someone explained to us what a hospitality suite really was used for, we would have declined and taken another room! The bell-boys in the elevator on our ride up to the 17th floor were complaining between themselves of 'how cheap the locals were'. One of them was obviously upset that he wasn't tipped for going the extra mile! I found that very tasteless and mentioned it to the manager. I got very little sleep both nights because of the parties going on in the hospitality suite. The manager was very, very empathetic and helpful - we were extremely impressed with the way she handled our situation. We would certainly return for another stay however, we would be sure at check-in that our room assignment was acceptable. San Diego is a great place to be. Roxanne - Tucson"
