"Dont use the room telephone to make calls. I misdialled, forgot to put the international code for UK, didnt make a connection and realised what Id done- I stil got charged more than 10 dollars for this call. The hotel reception said it was automatic billing by the phone company rather than through the hotel- I couldnt argue. My room was quite noisy with train horn-blowing, I didnt mind-others may not enjoy."

Hotel renovation completed winter of 2003. Each room has one Queen bed, cable TV, desk, hairdryer, refrigerator, phone with voicemail and dataport. The rooms are small yet so is the price. Location is perfect -San Diego's little Italy neighborhood- Just blocks to Airport train, Trolley, Convention Center, Gaslamp district, Horton plaza, and Seaport Village. Trolley to old town, Qualcom stadium or Mexican Border. Ferry to Coronado Island.
